07/09/10 Art Show!  See some of my photography of Sacramento and also fire performers. Opening night July 10, 2nd Saturday at Side Show Studios 5635 Freeport Blvd one block South of Fruitridge.  Show ends August 3, 2010.  See all the photos for sale here. 
04/30/10 Whole Earth Festival (annual University of California, Davis event) - see the fire dancers page which features photos I took at last year's event.  I will be photographing the fire event again.

02/10/10 Just received the green light for Digital Cameras - What should I know before buying the next?  It is a class at the Learning Exchange and it will run about 2 hours (2.5 in Elk Grove).  I will be sharing lots of information about pocket versus DSLRs, printing and accessories (such as lenses, storage devices, memory, cases and more)!  A great class for $39 that will help you make your next camera decision.

02/01/10 Another new class is being prepared, "Scrapbooking Magic" which will be about how to create your own page layouts with any object you can imagine!  Coming May 22, 2010!

A 6 hour class on scrapbooking with PhotoShop Elements Version 8, one of the best amateur photo editing packages. 

This course will help you learn how to:

  • Create simple backgrounds with photographs and scans
  • Embellish and give more of a 3d look with shadows
  • Make your own “die cut” effects on your layouts
  • Use the "Healing Brush" to remove skin imperfections
  • Correct your photos.
  • Manage your scrapbooking files with the “Organizer”.
  • Use layers to create visually stunning scrapbook pages.

The instructor will provide a wireless keyboard and mouse to be passed around the class to help the learning process.

Please bring one scrap of your favorite paper or fabric and one small object you would like to see possibly used in the demonstrations.
